HALO SleepSack *Review* and {Giveaway}

*Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and may differ from yours.
 1,000 hospitals are now using the HALO Innovations SleepSack Swaddle instead of blankets by working through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative. This means that 1.5 million births are getting first-hand experience in the hospital with the HALO SleepSack Swaddle and safe sleep practices. This product is becoming the standard for hospital nurseries and parents. It is agreed upon by leading health organizations that modeling proper baby care while in the hospital is the best influence on the care that parents provide to their baby at home. HALO Innovations offer free Safe Sleep Practices kits to childbirth educators to help further education on and the cause of SIDS prevention.
I love what HALO is doing. As a mom who has lost a child, I have many friends who have lost babies to SIDS and I am fully supportive of a product that works to prevent that. Anything that helps to not only keep babies safe in hospitals, but also provides education so parents can provide good care to their infants at home, is a product I love supporting.
We were fortunate to receive the Newborn girl HALO SleepSack Swaddle to try and review during our hospital stay when Cate was born last week. This was the first thing we put on her after she got back to our room from the nursery. My husband and mother both loved it because of how easy it was to swaddle her up snug. Also, the zipper on the inside is much easier than buttons that you find on many baby outfits.
Also, you could tell Cate loved it once we got home. We had her in a regular outfit and she just wasn’t sleeping well. So, we put her back in the HALO SleepSack and she went right to sleep. You could tell she felt secure when she was swaddled in it. It is a favorite of everyone in our house and is definitely getting used as frequently as possible. Brent and I want to get them in every size so we can have them as she grows. We are SO in love with this product–GREAT gift if you know someone expecting or with a little one!
This product has been deemed “hip healthy” by the International Hip Displaysia Institute and, as mentioned above, is used in 1,000 hospital nurseries.
